Starting February 27 through May 5, 2012 patrons have the opportunity to buy Pool Passes for the season at a discounted rate during our Polar Bear Pool/Skating Pass Sale Period and pay approximately 20% less than regular season rates. Take advantage of these significant savings by purchasing early. Rates for both sale period and in-season pass prices are listed below. Purchase your Polar Bear Pass online.
Patrons also have the opportunity to purchase their Skating Passes at a sale rate during this period and receive an approximate 20% discount off the in-season rate. This pass will be valid for the fall 2012/winter 2013 skating season (October through February).

We have converted to a simplified single season pass fee structure for our patrons in 2011. There are now only three pool pass types to choose from: Individual Pool Pass, Lap Swim Pass and Resident Discount Card. This single pass category system will simplify the registration process. You should purchase the number of individual pool passes (or lap passes, or discount cards) for the number of people in your household who wish to use the pool. For example if you previously purchased a Household of 3 Pool Pass, this year you would purchase 3 Individual Pool Passes for your household. The pass pricing structure was applied this past season to the Ice Arena.

Guest Passes Available for Resident Pool Pass Holders
Oak Park residents who purchase a season pool pass are eligible to purchase guest passes at a discounted rate of 4 for $28. Guest Passes must be purchased at the Ridgeland Common Registration Office.

To take advantage of the reduced resident rates you must provide a driver’s license or state ID with an Oak Park address. If you do not have either of those, you can choose TWO of the forms of identification below to prove your Oak Park address.
• telephone bill (cell phone bills will not be accepted)
• voter’s registration card
• vehicle registration card
• Village of Oak Park vehicle sticker receipt
If you are an Oak Park resident purchasing your pass in-person, you are required to show proof of residency (see requirements on previous page) in order to receive the resident discount. For those registering via fax or mail-in, the Park District will attempt to verify residency using an alternative source but you may be contacted to show proof of residency in person.
Can my childcare provider purchase a resident pass?
• If your child care provider lives in Oak Park but not at your residence, a resident individual pass can be purchased (or pay the $9 entry fee).

Park District ID Card Information
The Park District uses a universal ID card system. Our
photo ID card may be used for any type of “membership”
registration within the Park District (pool pass,
discount card, skating pass, indoor playground, teen
center, etc) after paying the appropriate fee.
If you are a new pool pass holder in 2012, you will need
to have your Park District-issued Photo ID Card created
and your photo taken at our offices at Ridgeland Common
or the Hedges Administrative Center during our
business hours. Please keep this card from season to
season. A replacement card fee of $5.00 will be charged
to replace lost cards.
2011 Pool Pass Holders: PLEASE NOTE!
If you purchased a pool pass in 2011, you DO NOT NEED to get a new Park District ID Card. Your 2012 Park District ID Card will automatically begin working once your registration is processed.
POOL PASS CARD REPLACEMENT PROGRAM - PLEASE READ!
Last year we began a pool pass card replacement program that will set a benchmark to allow the Park District to replace pass cards every three years. If you received a NEW pool pass card in 2012, your card will not need to be replaced until 2015 (although you will still need to activate it each summer to use it!). If you received your pool pass card prior to 2011, we have designed a simple way to upgrade your card this summer.
Getting Your Card Upgraded Is Easy!
When you visit the Park District pool of your choice during a non-peak time, the customer service staff will offer to collect your card and upgrade it for you. Simply let them know at which pool you would like to pick up your card, whether it’s the one you’re currently visiting or not, and it will be ready for you to pick-up the next day! Not planning a return visit to the pools so soon? That’s okay – we’ll hold on to your card at the pool of your choice until you come to claim it. Please note that the $5 replacement fee will apply if you lose your card within the three year period for which it is valid.
