Project Update - 2.15.10
Due to last week's snowstorm, the project start has been delayed. The Park District is still aiming to reopen the Dog Park by March 8.
ABOUT THE DOG PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT:
The Park District of Oak Park will be undertaking some needed improvements to the Dog Park located at Ridgeland Common, 415 Lake Street. Work will include a new and improved surface for better drainage and the installation of new entrance gates and a controlled access system. The Dog Park will be closed from February 8 to March 8, 2010. If work is completed sooner than expected, we will open the facility earlier than March 8. Project updates will be available here. Details on the new access system will be communicated prior to its installation.
Dog Park Plus will operate during its normal weekend hours during site improvement work. However, access to Dog Park Plus will be from a different location that will be clearly marked.
In order to compensate current pass holders for this inconvenience, the Park District will be crediting their individual Household Account in the amount of $3.50, the monthly equivalent of the annual $41 membership fee. This credit can be used for any Park District program.
We look forward to providing an improved Dog Park for the residents of Oak Park. If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact Bill Hamilton at (708) 725-2300 or billh@oakparkparks.com.
